By all indications, Christ School could be building to something special in five weeks at the NCISAA 4-A state meet.
Rocky Hansen ’23 set a course record Wednesday, covering the course at Asheville Christian Academy in 15 minutes, 42.10 seconds and the Greenies (22 points) easily won the ACA Invitational with five runners in the top-10.
Along with Rocky, points for the team came from Dawson Reeves ’24 (second place, 16:16.66), Luke Parrish ‘24 (fourth, 17:19.30), Eyob Gill ‘24 (seventh, 17:55.09), and Kahzi Sealey ‘23 (eighth, 18:06.83).
Wednesday was the first official day of Fall and the conditions were seasonal for the six-team meet in Swannanoa. Temperatures dipped into the 50s in the Asheville area after rain earlier in the day.
