All roads to the NCISAA 4-A state soccer championship lead through Arden.
Christ School varsity soccer has been awarded the No. 1 seed for the playoffs, which means homefield advantage throughout.
The Greenies (10-2-0) have a first-round bye and will host the winner of Charlotte Providence Day (7-10-1) and eighth-seeded Carmel Christian (8-5-0) on Friday at 5 p.m. Longtime coach Guy Campbell ’00 and the boys need to win three times on their home field to capture the first state soccer championship in school history. Come out and support them if you can or watch the livestreams at this link.
The team’s last game was a 3-0 shutout of visiting Asheville Christian Academy on Sept. 24.
Scoring leaders for Christ School are Constantine Barlas ’26 (eight goals, three assists), Declan Szostczuk ’26 (five goals, four assists), Wyatt Haddock ’27 (four goals, two assists), Wyatt Campbell ’27 (three goals, six assists), and Taz Kasambara ’26 (three goals, three assists).
