Beating the same opponent four times in one season is not easy.
Christ School varsity soccer hopes the odds are finally stacked in its favor Tuesday when the Greenies (10-7) get another crack at Carolinas Athletic Association champion Rabun Gap (16-2). The Eagles host the first round NCISAA 4-A state playoff game at 4:30 p.m.
Rabun Gap has defeated Christ School by a combined score of 14-1 in three previous meetings and won last week’s CAA championship game, 3-0.
The Greenies picked up their 10th victory of the season Friday, 2-1 at North Raleigh Christian Academy. Ollie Searle ‘21 was responsible for the winning goal, heading in a corner kick from Connor Hall ’20 in the second overtime. Adam Keever ’20 scored off an assist from Ollie in the first half.
Connor was one of three Greenies named to the CAA all-conference soccer team: goalkeeper Michael Mahoney ‘20 and forward Carson Campbell ‘21 made the list as well.
