Christ School swimming was the 10th-place team at Monday’s NCISAA Division I state meet with the biggest points for the Greenies coming in the relays.
John Barton ’25 (100-yard butterfly and 200-yard freestyle) and Davis Mohorn '24 (100-yard breaststroke) advanced out of the morning preliminaries to swim in Monday afternoon's finals. Those two made up one half of the 400-yard freestyle relay that placed seventh in 3:34.38, and also included Jake Landis ‘25 and Spencer Thompson ‘26.
The medley relay came in eighth place (1:48.85) and was made up of Davis, John, Jake, and Tyler Thompson ‘24. Finally, the Greenies were able to finish 10th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42.51) with a team made up of Tyler, Leo Lagutin ‘24, Vovi Lagutin ‘23, and Alex Jarrett ‘26.
In all, Christ School had nine qualifiers for this year's state meet. The team will only lose two seniors to graduation - Vovi and Campbell Vernon '23.
