Christ School coach Kevin Lisska noticed an uptick in focus and preparation leading up to Saturday night's Buncombe County swim meet.
The positive signs translated into one of the Greenies' best-ever showings in the competition. They placed second out of 11 boys teams with 285 points.
Individually, Frank Howden ‘22 touched the wall first to win a county championship in the 100-yard breaststroke (1 minute, 2.17 seconds) and was second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:03.22). Both times are personal records for the sophomore from Asheville who swam a leg on Christ School’s second-place medley relay (1:49.66) along with Daniel Du ‘22, Sam Jarrett ‘22, and Grayson Scott ‘21, as well as the second-place 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42.14) with Grayson, Charlie Thomas ‘21, and Daniel Neuman ‘21.
