Swimming hosted and won Saturday’s Jingle Bell Splash meet at the Buncombe County Schools Aquatic Center.
The Greenies claimed first place in every relay with individual event wins from University of Pennsylvania rowing recruit and first-year swimmer Judson Meyers ’25 (200-yard freestyle, 2:29.86), Spencer Thompson ’26 (50-yard freestyle, 23.80, and 100-yard freestyle, 55.09), Jake Landis ’25 (100-yard backstroke, 1:02.00, and 100-yard butterfly, 1:00.57), and Noah Clancy ‘26 (500-yard freestyle, 6:15.02).
Brooks Barbee ‘27 swam a state meet-qualifying time in the 200-yard individual medley (2:32.83) and so did Nolan Johnson ‘27 in the 100-yard freestyle (56.04).
The relay teams consisted of Jake, Spencer, Nolan, and Evan Reich ‘26 in the Medley Relay (2:20.06), Judson, Owen Johnson ‘28, Evan, and Noah in the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.58), and Spencer, Noland, Brooks, and Jake in the 400-yard freestyle (3:53.60).
In all, Christ School left the pool Saturday with 10 personal records. Thank you to every volunteer who made this home meet possible.
