Christ School athletics has experienced another strong year for college recruiting, with commitments or signings from 16 boys.
Jackson Burch '22 (UNC-Charlotte cross country and track), Jacob Halfacre '22 (Butler University football), and Taylor Kuehn '23 (Samford University golf) made their decisions this month.
Jackson was an all-state and All-Western North Carolina runner for Christ School's 2021 state-championship cross country team. He placed third in the NCISAA 4-A state meet with a time of 16 minutes, 7.90 seconds and was also third in the Carolinas Athletic Association meet. Jackson ran the 1,600 meters in 4:22.86 last April, which was at the time a school record. He is the Prefect in Noland House.
Jacob is the Prefect in Young House. He was a key piece of the Greenie offensive line that allowed Christ School football to average 172.3 passing yards and 170.8 rushing yards per game in 2021.
Taylor was the runner-up in the 2021 CAA golf tournament and plays in junior events year-round. He is expected to be one of the Greenies' top golfers after transferring from Asheville School.
