Even at home, two games in less than 48 hours can be a juggling act. Varsity basketball avoided any kind of letdown Saturday afternoon in Mebane Field House.
De’Ante Green ’22 kickstarted the Christ School offense with its first nine points, going on to finish with a team-high 14. Drew Redmond ’21 added 12 points and Gabe Berardi ’22 put together his best game as a Greenie yet with 11 in a 56-42 win over visiting High Point Wesleyan Christian Academy.
Christ School (11-11) only has three regular-season games left, all of which will be played in the Greenie Dome. The team would do well to replicate Saturday’s defensive effort – Christ School held the Trojans (13-9) to a combined 13 points in the second and third quarters.
On the other end of the floor, Zack Myers ’23 had seven points. Charlie Browder ’21 and Justice Ajogbor ’20 scored six apiece.
The Greenies are back home Tuesday against Asheville Christian Academy – the JV game tips at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity. Both games will be live-streamed on the Christ School Broadcast Network.
