Tuesday was a flawless start to the season for Christ School varsity tennis.
The Greenies swept through singles and doubles to win 9-0 at Covenant Day.
Basti Guder ‘23 (No. 3) and Cole Lewis ‘25 (No. 5) were able to outlast their singles opponents in third-set tiebreakers.
Christ School (1-0) returns five of its top-six singles players from last year’s team which had a 6-5 record. Xander Barber ’23 is a two-time Carolinas Athletic Association Player of the Year.
The Greenies will not play again until March 25 when they host High Point Wesleyan Christian Academy.
