World Languages Instructor Jennifer MacDonald to Speak at TEDx Event

World Languages instructor Jennifer MacDonald P’20 is one of the speakers for a Feb. 27 TEDx Asheville event, “Building Bridges; Opening Doors,” at the downtown Wortham Center for Performing Arts.

Ms. MacDonald said she will use her platform to talk about the importance of play as a survival skill, especially for displaced youth.

Ms. MacDonald teaches Arabic at Christ School. She is an award-winning film producer, activist, and writer and served for several years as a translator and cryptologist for the United States government. 

In 2014, Ms. MacDonald co-founded HADAYA, an organization that provides libraries and developmental toys to displaced children in several countries.
