Collectively, the cross country and track programs at Christ School have the rest of the state playing catch-up.
Milesplit North Carolina announced its year-end awards Friday at NCRunners.com with the Greenies (state program of the year) and Rocky Hansen ’23 (state MVP) winning the two biggest prizes on the boys side.

Last fall, Christ School cross country repeated as the NCISAA 4-A team champions. The top-five runners for the Greenies had the lowest composite time (15:36.09) in North Carolina, private or public schools.
The track team was the runner-up at the NCISAA Division I state outdoor meet, thanks to big points from the distance races and field events.
Rocky graduated in May as a 10-time state champion with nine all-time North Carolina records in cross country and track. He has signed with Wake Forest University.
Randy Ashley has been the head coach for Greenie cross country and track since 2016.
