Sidney Gibbs '19 Named All-WNC
Sidney Gibbs '19 joined the Greenies in the fall and helped lead the team to the Division I NCISAA football playoffs this season. The team finished 8-2 in 2017. After being recognized as All-CAA and All-State, Sidney was just named the All-WNC First Team. He rushed for 2,029 yards and 14 touchdowns in nine games for the Greenies. Sidney, who averaged 225 yards a game and 14.2 yards a carry, garnered all-state honors while also hauling in seven catches for 84 yards. The junior rushed for 200 yards five times in 2017 and 300 yards twice. One of his plays this year was shown on SportsCenter's Top Plays and received well over three million views on their Instagram.
